Foreign Language Department

The Simms High Foreign Language Department has a Foreign Language Club available to any and all students taking a foreign language. Also available is the foreign language tour of Europe every 2 to 3 years. The teacher is Mrs. Dee Dee Rains. You must be part of the foreign language club to attend the two week tour of Europe. The club members and staff put on fund raisers to help the students save up enough money to go on the trip. In addition to the trip the foreign language club also takes interested students on a class activity, which varies from year to year after school; such as a movie, dinner, or conventions available that year. In the beginning of the year the school has club meetings to attend if interested in joining the foreign language club. During these meetings the club members vote on a president and staff. Throughout the rest of the year only these members of the club attend meetings to decide on events to go to or events to hold. If you have any ideas contact any of the foreign language class representatives who will then bring up your idea at the next class meeting. To find out when her classes are offered, see course schedule.
